IMPORTANT UPDATES
The Diocese of Southern Ohio and St John’s Episcopal Church have instituted new policies regarding capturing image and likeness of any guests being served by Jericho’s Light Club, and the presence of any Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents and officers on church property.
The taking of photos and/or video of our guests, and the dissemination of such, is now strictly prohibited. Photos and video of volunteers is still permitted.
Should you be confronted by any representatives of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency while serving at Jericho’s, please stop them at the door and immediately report their presence to a Jericho’s board member.
Thank you in advance!
What is a Jericho’s Volunteer?
Jericho’s volunteers are dedicated individuals who express their devotion to God through their service to others. They work independently of groups and are prepared to assume any role, position, or duty required.
Jericho's has various needs before, during, and after hours of operation. Volunteers arrive early to help set up and stay late to assist with clean-up. They typically arrive between 4:30 and 5:30 pm, and cleanup is usually completed between 9:30 and 10:00 pm.
Volunteers at Jericho's engage in a variety of activities, including serving meals to guests, conversing and offering to pray with them, operating the dishwasher, and cleaning the bathrooms. These are just some of the many tasks that volunteers undertake. Jericho's volunteers are committed to performing any necessary duties at any given time in dedication to God and to glorify Him.
If this description matches you, you are well-suited to be a Jericho’s volunteer. If you are interested in becoming a Jericho’s volunteer or have any questions about volunteering, please contact us via email. We look forward to working with you to serve the community and to advance the Kingdom.
